Cannot change notification email adress

Pedro Roldan
June 3, 2020

I have validated the domain ok trough DNS, added the spf and the cname s1 and s2, but io cant validate the domain trough the tool, gives me Unknown server error without description, and when I try to change the notification email, it gives SPF validation failed for this domain

v=spf1 +mx +a +ip4:94.126.169.170 +include:spf.mailbox.pt +include:_spf.atlassian.net +include:spf.mailjet.com ~all

s1._domainkey.openmindsoftware.pt. txt: s1._domainkey.atlassian.net

s2._domainkey.openmindsoftware.pt. txt: s2._domainkey.atlassian.net

How can I solve this ???

Hello Pedro,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Thank you for sharing the details. Checking the information you provided it seems that there is an issue with the SFP records.

The spf.mailbox.pt doesn't seem correct and usually, there is no + on the SPF.

Please, check our documentation again and follow the steps mentioned in section 2. Configure your domain's SPF records.

Regards,
Angélica

Thank you for your reply.

On our hosting when we add a spf attribute it places the + before the include, it's done in a panel, is there any way around this?

Well let's see what's going to happen, i just removed the + plus sign on the specify include for Jira and left the others as they were created using the +plus sign, and tried adding the custom email address in Jira help desk notification scheme.. and it seems to have worked, at least it allowed me to add a custom address, I'm gonna try and see if all goes ok in the next couple of days.. thank you for your assistance.
