Cannot Edit Issue After Automated Transition

Hi there,

I used an automated rule to transition an issue to "Closed" on Jira Service Desk.

After this was done, I keep seeing an error when re-opening the issue:

You don't have permissions to transition this issue.

The automation rules run using my user. Why would this happen?

It happens because your account does not have permission to use that transition.  Check the conditions on the transition to see what the rules are for who is allowed to do it.  Most common is a condition for "only people in Role or group", but you'll also want to check that your account has the permission "transition issues".

Hey there,

Thanks for the response. I'm a site admin, so I have all the permissions. I also used the helper to confirm this.

I'll check the transition workflow for the other permission.
