Hi @DCCS IT Services GmbH

is your request type also used as the default request type for emails?

There is some gotcha where jira cannot process an email request if there are additional mandatory fields. The admin screen may be preventing that. Does it work with other request types.

regards

Tom

Hi,

yes the request type is the default request type for emails and it works with other request types. What should I do?

An incoming email uses the title for the summary and the body as the description. For that to work the request type can’t have any mandatory fields or the email create will fail.

I’d suggest you use a new request type if you want to add a mandatory field. Or is it possible to set a default value in the field configuration for the problem field?
