Can't get pass the 'Choose a project template' step on install

I'm trying to install Jira Service Desk, but I cannot get pass the initial onboarding.

I get an error:

"We couldn't create your project. Something went wrong, please try again."

When choosing the External service desk project template.

Choosing 'Skip' will reload the same page.

I'm using Jira Service Desk for cloud.

I ignored the onboarding screens and created the Service Desk project by going to Jira Service Desk here:
