Can't Priority field inherit from JSD issue when Create JSW issue in Automation?

Simon Boman September 8, 2019

When using Automation in Project Settings, and Create issue to e.g. JSW, why is Priority field hard coded in the automation, instead of inherit from the JSD issue?

Hello Simon,

Thank you for getting in touch with Atlassian Community!
Currently, we need to select a priority for the issue that will be created using automation. Based on your question, I created a feature request:
Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates.

As a workaround, you can use the add-on Automation for Jira (there is also a free version) where you can copy the priority from the original ticket.

Thanks Angelica,

I'm totally aware of Automation for Jira, but it's only for free 300 automations / month, which will not be free for us.

Cheers!
