In my JSM project I have created multiple stakeholder groups from Operations -> Communcations -> Stakeholders -> Create Stakeholder Groups. When I try to add one of these groups to an incident work item, I can only search for individual people. The groups I've created don't appear in the search results, as such I can't add them to my incident. Is there a permissions issue I need to address or perhaps a lag in these groups being searchable?
Hey @Cam Briggs ,
Currently, you can only add individuals as stakeholders on an incident (as you've already figured out).
There's a feature request for improving this field so you can add other entities, such as groups and teams > see JSDCLOUD-12203: Ability to add groups, teams and customer organizations to the stakeholders and responders in JSM
I guess some kind of workaround would be to create a group picker field, add it to the incident, and then use automation to send an email to select group(s), but it surely isn't the prettiest solution 😕
Cheers,
Tobi
Thanks Tobi,
Just reading the Atlassian documentation on this and it seems to suggest you can add stakeholder groups. I'm a bit confused!
In this document they talk about searching for both individuals and for groups.

For those playing at home - Atlassian have confirmed there is a bug with the ability to add stakeholder groups to an incident's "stakeholders" field - JSDCLOUD-18295

@Cam Briggs thanks for sharing the link to the bug!
I've added my vote (+1)
Hope it will get fixed soon 🤞
