I have created a field with the wrong field type and i can't find any way to change it. Is it possible to edit? Or do i have to trash it and recreate a new field?

You cant change the type of a custom field once created.

Create your new field, migrate data from old to the new field and then remove the old field.

Hi @Gan Zhi Long , the ability to change the field type is not supported. Depending on the details of your specific situation the best option to try is to create the new custom field and then run various JQL queries based upon the old field's values and bulk update the issues setting the new issue value. You might even be able to automate but that might be more work than it is worth.
