Can JSM DataCenter edition be installed on same server as JIRA Server edition?

Since JSM Server licenses are no longer available, can we still purchase JSM DAtaCenter edition and have it work with JIRA Server?  On the same server?

Hi @Tom Gross ,

You can install both on the same server, but you have to install them as different applications. 

You can not install JSM Data Center into the Jira SW Server application, because in one application the license type must match. 

Said that, as they will be different applications, the integration is not as tight as it could so. If you want to switch from a Servicedesk Project to a Software Project, it means switching the application and maybe login again. Also linking of issues is not so comfortable.

If JSM it was installed on the same server as JIRA, could we use the same database that we're using for JIRA?

You can use the same database server, but you'll need a own database for JSM.
