Calculate number of days left on contract

I have two asset attribute fields "Start Date" and "Stop Date" and want to use automation to count down daily when time strikes 0000 hrs to a third field "Days to End of Contract". How can this be done? Do I use the asset automation or project automation and how?

@Frank Collazo what are you trying to accomplish with the third field?  Are you going to have some sort of notification or is it just information on the issue?
