CAPTCHA Apps

The CAPTCHA app that in already part of the Jira software is very hard to read. I have seem the Font download workarounds, but I'm not having an issue with weird symbols, just with the letters being so close to each other that they are hard to read. I have searched the market place for other CAPTCHA apps, but there doesn't seem to be any in the market place. I am wondering if Atlassian has a recommendation for non-market place CAPTCHA apps which will work with Jira products. We use the main Jira Software, the Jira Service Desk and Jira BitBucket.

There was a previous feature request to allow admins to choose their own captcha provider as in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-21034

However this was closed as won't do.   Presently there is not a clear alternative to the captchas provided by Jira.   However there is another existing feature request to use reCAPTCHA instead in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-41129

Perhaps if this alternative was used it might help in this case.  However there is no clear timetable on if or when this might come to Atlassian products.  Please see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

Would you mind trying to grab a screenshot or two of examples captchas that are difficult to read?   I would like to try to understand the source problem here and see what you or your users see here to better understand the scope of the problem.
