Big Picture - Release not an option in the Time Box

Aprildelay July 25, 2025

I am trying to associate Releases (FixVersions) with the Time Boxes created in my Big Picture plan. I don't see "Release" as an option, as I have seen in my previous lives.

  • Plan consists of a single project with Story and sub-task issue types, only.
  • Project in the plan is a JSM project
  • Releases with dates have been created
  • Issues have FixVersions applied
  • Teams within BigPicture have been created
  • Issues have been assigned to Teams using the Team#Label
  • No Sprint Boards or Kanban Boards are associated with the project
  • Task Structure is "agile", though I've tried a few iterations of custom with no change
  • Scope includes Issues and Versions

What am I missing? Is it because it's a JSM??

Hi @Aprildelay

I think Yes, as JSM does have a version option.

But it could be Big Picture doesn't work with JSM projects.

On personal note, I have never used versions in a JSM. I could see why I'm not building and releasing anything in JSM.

The only thing I could use it for, would be referring a software version.

I think reaching out to BigPicutre support, is the best to do.
