We’ve recently migrated from a Opsgenie instance into Jira.
AWS CloudWatch alarms are being sent into Jira alerts, where the team review and triage them.
At the moment, we can manually create Incidents in Jira Service Management from these alerts, but we’re looking to automate this flow.
For a subset of customers, P1 and P2 alerts should automatically create Incidents in JSM, without manual intervention.
Is there a supported way to:
Automatically create JSM Incidents from Jira alerts based on priority / severity
Hi Dan,
The best way would be to create a Sync in Opsgenie that would create the Incident. You can put in filters to for the types of Alerts it would affect. That way it will create the Incident and automatically link the Incident to the Alert.

Hi @Dan Allenby
To create a ticket automatically from an Alert, you need to create a Global automation rule. With Global rules, you will be then able to see and use Alert triggers.
From there, you can apply the conditions on which you want the rule to execute (ie priority and severity)
thanks
