We have a scenario where we receive an email request, when a customer fills out a form on an external application, the sender (the reporter) is the system it has come from.
The issue is that the individual that has completed the form for submission does not get an auto response, as the request comes from a no reply email address.
When the request is received the user's name is in the summary header, is there an auto rule that will edit the reporter if the request received contains a certain string in the summary field at all?
You can use automation to detect the condition and interrogate the user string but I might be tricky to match to the Jira user depending on the actual text associated with the user. Consider a drop down on form where reporters selects their name.
This request will come via an email rather then through the portal. Can you advise how the report can be set up so this can be done please?
