Hello,
We are in the early stages of using JSD to capture support requests from our customers. Our customers will be reporting issues from within our website where they are already logged in.
The existing JSD widget looks great except that it allows the customer to enter any email address and thus some will inevitably create tickets with email addresses which don't match the email address we have on record (which then makes support harder).
Is there a way to prefill the email address field in the widget (ideally so the customer can't change it)?
Many thanks,
Adam.
Hi @[deleted],
Unfortunately, there is no simple way to prefill the information from my test.
You may want to consider scripting a function in your webpage to do this as an alternative but I would say raise a feature request with Atlassian to add an improvement that let's you add a description under email so users can know what email is expected.
This is what comes to mind right now.
Thanks Ismael. When you say scripting do you mean hacking the provided Javascript for the widget and filling in the email field?

I've created a ticket if anyone else wants to weigh in and support this change.
