Assets: Running the Adapters Client on an Azure VM

Sandro Leone - EPS

Hi there

Has anybody set up an Adapters Client on an Azure VM (ideally the Intune Adapter) and is able to share some feedback on their experiences?

I am currently gathering information if this set up would be better or to look into marketplace apps for integrating Intune. The requirement is mainly to have a oneway sync from intune into assets.

Thanks and best regards

Hi @Sandro Leone - EPS ,

I believe my colleague mentioned connecting Intune with Assets a week or so ago. I could check with him next week if they've managed to connect these two.

Cheers,
Tobi

Quick update @Sandro Leone - EPS ,

The teammate said they've managed to connect InTune with Assets by simply following the official instructions. They did have one hiccup, but that was related to the Entra ID side.

Anyway, they didn't fully configure it yet - I believe they've got raw data from InTune and are now in the process of mapping attributes and objects.

But again, in the end, they didn't have any major issues when it came to the whole integration.
