Working on implementing Assets. I created a test schema based on Atlassian's ITSM template, performed a scan on one device (a Windows server), and imported into Assets.
The Schema Tree displays the various components of the server, e.g. - NICs, CPUs, drives, but does not identify the device as a Windows server. What am I missing?
I understand the basic concept of the schema but am by no means an expert. I assume I'm missing something on the import side, but cannot determine what.
I have done little modification to the out-of-box configurations.
HI Darryl,
What Schema did you import it into? Can you share some screenshots of the import process?
Hey John,
I created a Test schema based on the ITSM schema that Atlassian provides. I then ran a scan with Asset Discovery and configured the schema to import the scan output.
Most of what I'm doing now is experimental to understand how to configure things when we deploy.
As mentioned, I've left most of the scan and schema configurations as standard OOB. Since this initial scan I have added "enhanced" some of the scan and schema settings by checking extra boxes in an attempt to have this device show up as a Win server.
Not sure what would be helpful in terms of screenshots. As I'm writing, I realize I left out the Jira Asset Discovery detail, which is probably important to troubleshooting this problem.

Can you show the import config on the assets schema you created?
