Asset Automation - Update an Asset Object Attribute When Another Asset Object Attribute Is Updated

Hello Community friends,

I have a customer who wants to have an object attribute updated when another object attribute is updated. Here is the scenario:

Asset Object Customer A's from Object Type Customer attribute Region is updated to include EMEA. This is done via Assets not through a custom field or anything like but updated inside the Object.

When this is done then the Object EMEA from Object Type Region should append Customer A name to the attribute Customers.

Is this possible?

Hi Bryan!

I think this depends, who carries out the manual asset update and how would you get Customer A's name to use in the automation?

Also, what type of field is the attribute Customer?

How it would work in asset for me, if I had set it up, would be that the Customer objects would have a reference field called "Region" and in that field I would add the Region object EMEA, which would be a "metadata" object.

Then updating the Customer's region to EMEA would automatically cause a dependency to the EMEA object.
