Hi,
we are going to use Email This Issue plug-in and I'm trying to find an information about mail log. Jira Cloud keeps emails in the mail log for 45 days by default and a maximum of 180 days. Is the mail log in ETI based on the same principle or does it create its own log and does not have such a limitation? How long does ETI keep the mail log?
ms
Hello Marek,
My name is István and I'm part of the Email This Issue support team at META-INF.
Email This Issue for Jira Cloud by default retains all email logs for as long as you have the application installed, we delete data in maximum 45 days after you uninstall the app - you can find information about this in our DPA, I linked the corresponding article here: Data Processing Agreement.
Deleting a log item from the audit log will remove the log item from both the Audit log and the Emails tab (accessible from the issue itself) as well.
The incoming mail queue elements will need to be deleted separately, otherwise the email will still be able to be requeued and processed again. Some email information (ie. sender email address) is also kept in the Incoming Log, but this mainly contains information about the processing and not the email itself.
So basically the email log is retained until you delete the emails from the log or after some time has passed since you uninstalled and stopped using the application (earlier if the deletion of data is requested directly).
I hope this helps, but please let me know if you have any further questions!
Best regards,
István
@Marek Soukup They have a their own email audit log that captures the emails sent.

Thank you for your tip. I saw this document but I didn't find information how long they save a history.
