I've set up my workflow to use Approver Groups as my approvers. I've found the Customer Notifications in Space Settings for notifying those approvers, and I can only choose Approvers, not Approver Groups. The approver received an email that the work was transitioned, but not that they had an action to approve it.
1) Am I able to see an audit of automated Jira emails that have been sent? I'm not necessarily convinced the email didn't send, as others in the same process received the email.
2) How could I add Approver Groups instead of Approvers? The dropdown in Customer Notifications only lists Approvers, Reporter (customer), and Customers Involved. Not looking to redo automations or anything.
Welcome to the community.
Within your workflow, you have set the field approval groups and number of people to approve (this is for each group) to be used and the customer notification is active.
Then you will have to set the the field Approval Groups with Jira groups manual or by automation, or add the field approval groups with preset values on your requests
there is no separate customer notification from approval groups, but the field on the request/work item needs to be populated to sent a notification to members of the group.
Thanks! Ok so as long as Approver Groups has the Jira group assigned to it, those people in the Jira group should be emailed an approval notification?

Yes, if this field is empty, no notification emails are sent, as its not know to whom.
The field needs a value (group) to be set.

Great, thank you! I think there was some lag with this user, as the workflow/automation was broken and I had to set the field manually. But this helps to confirm that it was more than likely trying to send an email regardless.
