So, Alerts are down for about 7 hours now. Not a single one is displayed, but from time to time some of them make it to the mobile app. Of course I cannot see what that alert is about ("gateway timeout") - but hey, at least I know that i have a problem, just not what or where it is.
Atlassians reaction:
Hey Atlassian, this isn't "degraded performance". Alerting is completely broken for 7 hours now. We have no idea what's going on and we do not get a single alert.
Then I tried to raise a support ticket - only to be forced to have a chat with a brain dead AI. Sure that firing hundreds of support emps was a smart move?
What an unbelievable bullshit. We used Pagerduty for more than 10 years. Not a single incident. JSM? Broken from day one. But hey, at least it's "work-items" now, not issues. Great that you got your priorities sorted.
Fix your shit and post useful status updates, not this "degraded performance" crap. I need a realistic assessment, not a "don't scare them" beating around the bush. What happened to the "no bullshit company"?
You may be able to get some reimbursement. I recommend you to talk to your Atlassian Account Executive and let them know about the situation. Also create a support ticket for the record and complain if you haven't done so already. I had a few customers having issues with alerts two weeks ago and they were not getting anything for the whole day so they have escalated through the proper channels.
Best of luck.
