Hello All,

Can anyone please give me an overview of how to set alerts on asset management specifically to alert when a warranty date has passed?

Or is it possible to do it through Automation?

Hi @jiraasset Demo ,

Setting an alert directly on an asset is not possible. The most common work around is indeed to use automation.

You can use

• the "Scheduled" trigger 
• perform an object lookup (which takes an AQL to search for items where the warranty date expires today/tomorrow/..)
• then either create an issue for it with the action or use the "send email" action

That would be my idea in a nutshell.
