Administrator with company e-mail adress as external user?

Hi,

Who can explain this situation?
I am an administrator of the organization and my email is the organization's email?
But my profile shows that I am an external user.

What are the possible consequences of this?

Let's see if I can help you understand the situation. 

What may be happening is that your email domain isn’t verified/claimed in Atlassian Admin, so your account isn’t “managed.” 

Also, it could be that you’re an admin of one Atlassian org, but looking at a site in another org, so you appear external there.

About the consequences: there should be no change to current Jira/JSM permissions, you keep your admin/agent rights, but the account remains outside org control.

Being outside of organizational control means that the organization cannot centrally deactivate/reset or manage that account.

What you can do about it is to verify/claim your domain: admin.atlassian.com → Directory → Domains → Verify domain (here more info: https://support.atlassian.com/migration/docs/verify-domains-and-claim-managed-accounts/ AND how to https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/verify-a-domain-to-manage-accounts/), or Align organizations: Ensure your admin account and the site are under the same Atlassian org

We have that same issue -- we can't claim our domain because another group in our organization already did that, so all our admins, users, and customers appear to be "external". It makes User provisioning and management, and especially troubleshooting, tricky.
