Adding a Field to the request form without it being displayed in the request viewing screen

Hello,

I use a custom message field in my request page in my customer portal which displays my customers a url based on the drop-down choice they make 

Now after a customer has created the request, this field should not be shown to them on the "view" page, since it doesn't work there properly:

How do I achieve, that this field is not shown on the "view" page anymore?
