Add Work not showing correct fields

I want to track time spent on tickets as a metric; volume measurement not enough. But when we click the Add work button we get

Add Work.jpg

My understanding is the screen should show

Time Spent, Remaining Estimate, Date Started, and Work Description

I've checked in the Field Configuration Schema and Log  Work is there and accessible.

Permissions are correct

Time Tracking is added to the screen.

Any pointers appreciated.

Hi @Myles Boyd

You first need to provide an original estimate on an issue, this will be set as the remaining estimate as well.

On logging work, this will be deducted automatically from the remaining estimate.

On creating a worklog the date is auto set to when the worklog was created. Comments should be used as description of work done.

This is ootb, if you want auto start of time logging, based on status change, etcc. you will need to look into 3rd party app from the marketplace.

Damn;  I was hoping just to capture time spent.

Fixing IT issues, is always a guestimate...

I supposed I could use the SLA time.

Thanks Marc

That is indeed the issue.  Thanks again @Marc - Devoteam

Now to figure out how to set the remaining estimate as the SLA via automation
