Hello,
When trying to add a new domain in our jira site (we already have one and want to add a new without deleting the previous domain), we are following the steps indicated in
According to this, we have to follow these steps :
Copy and add DNS records
If you close the DNS records modal the first time we display your records, you can always come back at a later time to copy them. To copy and add DNS records:
Go to Atlassian Administration. Select your organization if you have more than one.
Select Oganization settings > Emails.
Select the Email domains tab.
Select See DNS records for the domain you want to manage. You’ll see 5 or 6 DNS records.
Open your domain provider, and find the screen where you can add DNS custom records. These records are added to the same domain that you’ve added in admin.atlassian.com.
Create custom records in your domain provider by copying and adding the name and value for each DNS record. Refer to the table below for more details about how to add them.
Save these records in your domain provider.
Return to the Email domains tab, and select See DNS records.
Select Run DNS records check or Close.
Run DNS records check initiates the check immediately. It may take a few seconds for this check to complete. If you choose to close, we’ll still run a check 24 hours from the time you add your email domain.
I am having difficulty in executing steps 5 and 6. Can you direct me more specifically?
Thank you in advance,
Aggeliki K.
Hi @Aggeliki K ,
Just checking, are you trying to add a new domain for email or as a verified domain to claim accounts?
Might also be easier if you number the steps to be clear which one you have an issue with :)
Hello @Dirk Ronsmans ,
I am trying to verify a domain but I also want to allow the accounts of this domain to be able to send an email so that they can create a ticket via this email.
This is what applies for the previous domain too.

Hi @Aggeliki K ,
If it's just to verify the domain to allow management of the accounts you'll need to follow the instructions here:
Users that send an email to create a ticket is not linked to a verified domain. The link yo mentioned is regarding the sending of emails from your atlassian instance under a certain domain. So that's a different thing.
