1 Knowledgebase for ServiceDesk: differ between internal and external articles

Romy_Kaminsky October 17, 2019

Hi,

We do have a SD project for our external customers and now want to establish a knowledgebase. So I created ONE space already in our Confluence, but it´s not linked yet to the SD project, first we want to fill in some articles.

Is it possible to have internal and external articles in ONE Knowledgebase. If so, how do I set the correct permissions? I already looked through some documentation but did not find an answer.

Thank you!

Best,

Romy

Hi @Romy_Kaminsky

You can use Confluence page restrictions to implement this level of permission.

Classify all the pages under two top pages 'External' and 'Internal' and make sure you restrict the 'Internal' page only to your internal organization users, using a group.
The page restrictions will be followed down to the hierarchy, so no external users will be able to view the content, but still the other pages under External will be accessible.

Hope this helps.
