📣 [Early Access] Try out AI-powered employee onboarding with Rovo Service

Tl;dr: Sign up now to access Rovo Service and try AI-generated onboarding to help your HR teams make every new hire feel organised and supported.

Hi everyone!

We’re excited to offer you early access to new AI-generated onboarding plans in Rovo Service, our newest AI agent in Jira Service Management. Rovo Service intelligently plans, executes and orchestrates a fully personalised onboarding experience from end to end, reducing time to impact, new employee churn, and operating costs.

Rovo Service capabilities for HR onboarding include:

  • Create onboarding plans – The agent helps HR admins create onboarding plans, grounded in process documents and conversational inputs, with the Jira Service Management journey builder.

  • Execute steps in the onboarding plan – The agent can execute steps in the onboarding plan such as adding users to Okta user groups, in collaboration with a human agent.

Who is this Early Access Program (EAP) for:

This EAP is best suited for:

  • HR / internal service teams with a documented knowledge base – Best for HR / People Ops and internal service teams that already use Jira Service Management and have a reasonably well‑defined internal knowledge base in Confluence (onboarding guides, SOPs, runbooks) that the agent can turn into journeys.

  • Teams with repeatable, cross‑team onboarding workflows – Works best where onboarding or activation follows a repeatable pattern across multiple teams (HR, IT, Facilities, managers), and there’s a desire to orchestrate tasks end‑to‑end and automate steps like access provisioning via Okta.

  • Teams that care about consistency and compliance in onboarding – Ideal for orgs that need every new hire to follow a consistent, compliant “golden path” (e.g. mandatory trainings, security steps, standard dev setup), and want the agent to enforce that path while still allowing some controlled customisation.

If this sounds like your team then sign up now to try out Rovo Service.

What are the requirements

To join this program, you need:

  • A Jira Service Management site with AI enabled:

    • A space to enable Rovo Service on chosen request types

    • Internal knowledge accessible to Rovo Service with view permissions

  • A project admin (or equivalent) who can:

    • Configure internal knowledge for the project

    • Enable Rovo Service in JSM Space settings

How can you provide feedback

Your feedback is critical to shaping Rovo Service. Share feedback via the feedback collector at the bottom of the resolution plan.

When reporting an issue or suggestion, include:

  • The link to the work item where you observed the behavior.

  • Expected vs actual:

    • What you expected Rovo Service to suggest.

    • What it actually suggested.

  • The knowledge article Rovo Service used or should have used.

We’ll also schedule Zoom calls so you can share observations directly with the Rovo Service R&D team. For urgent issues, you can contact Srini Chakravarthy (schakravarthy@atlassian.com) or Munisekhar(mk5@atlassian.com).

Thank you for helping shape Rovo Service

We’re excited to partner with you to define how AI‑assisted onboarding should work in Jira Service Management, so join the program now.
