Is Jira Product Discovery an add on in Jira Software or is it its own separate application?  It is not clear to me.  Is it compatible with jira cloud and/or jira software?

Jira Product Discovery is a standalone product. It is currently in beta but will soon move to GA where you can choose between the free tier or a standard edition. More on that here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Product-Discovery-articles/A-big-update-on-Jira-Product-Discovery-pricing-creators-and/ba-p/2304729

It is a separate app to Jira Software but closely integrated so you can view work happening in Jira Software from within JPD.
