JPD: Time Horizon and Parent/Child Ideas

Hi Tanguy,

Thank you for all your videos and guides for JPD. They are extremely helpful. I have two questions for you.

1. In some of your videos it looks like you have Groups that keying in on time. For example, you had a grouping I believe was "In the next 6 months". I have read how I can create a custom field in Jira that is a Time Horizon (date field). However, I am not able to group by a date field. Very curious how you accomplished grouping on a time interval on your board. 

2. In one of your videos that I cannot seem to find, I believe I noticed that in a board view you had an Idea that you could collapse and expand to show child or related ideas. I also cannot figure how to do this. Can you point me to instructions or video on how you were able to do this.

Hi @DuBose Griffin , 

1. 1. you can't group by a date field yet - in our case we use a select field for "time horizon". Some teams use automation to keep a date field in sync with that. Not ideal, we'll have to make this better. 
2. I think you saw a video for an upcoming feature (idea hierarchy, see details here). It's coming soon as part of the Premium plan.
