I published an article in the Data Center Group summarizing Jira’s hosting evolution and where Atlassian seems to be heading next (Government Cloud + Isolated Cloud). Sharing here because Cloud admins often see the practical gaps first.

Two questions for Cloud admins:
Update: @Rohit Utukuri - the link is active now, and the article is available for readers.
The article has been published, but got an "In moderation" status. I hope the Community admin will unblock it quickly.
Hi,
In my opinion:
1] All those "request access" links in Cloud. Coming from the Data Center, it is so frustrating to see people request access to apps or projects/spaces via those links rather than using established processes for requesting access. We want to disable those links.
2] Permissions for Goals, Teams, and other "new" features/apps. None at all (looking at you, Teams :( ), some are mind-blowing (looking at you, Goals).
3] "Advertisements for features". Why? Stop force-feeding them. Sent admins an email about the new features; we will decide whether and when to use them.
4] Don't kill Data Center... 🤷♂️
Given the current political environment, no AWS based cloud offer will make a difference.
So, get rid of AWS and allow hosting by European cloud hosting provider. That could be a real alternative.
Ho @Dorota Popowska - Vilisoft ,
Thank you for opening this interesting discussion.
1- One of the biggest blockers will be the cost of the offered plan, related to companies dimensions and budget: there are many small and medium size companies that fall inside a regulated market.
This kind of companies, very happy to manage on-premise environment and Atlassian tools, could not justify an increase of required budget and will be forced to look around.
So, iit is important to understand that solated cloud is not required only by enterprise companies.
