Atlassian is forcing it's community of users to go from on-premise to cloud. A lot of the security concerns with cloud are mitigated by being on-premise behind a firewall and away from the public. It appears that Atlassian believes as such. So they have put additional tax on the features that provide security.
LDAP/AD connectivity requires an additional $6000/yr for a team of 100.
IP Whitelisting doubles the prices of the pre/user license from $7,000 to $14,000 per year.
There seems to be a misalignment of revenue and security, where security is monetized more than that core JIRA product itself.
