Hi @Atul Setlur

Could you please clarify. Are the new backup & restore APIs only available to add-on customers? Or can they be used by anyone?

Are the old API endpoints still available?

What is the advantage of Atlassian's backup & restore functionality over a 3rd party app?

Can you kindly and clearly say how much it's going to cost?

Nonetheless I must say it is really frustrating this is not part of the Premium plan...

Another rug pull from Atlassian.

They give us functionality early on and infer it is part of the Enterprise solution and then a year later pull out the rug and say not only do you have to pay for it, but you have weeks to cough up 100k or find another backup solution.

Corporations who do budgeting forecasting don't have wads of money lying around to simply pluck from in the middle of our annual licensing deal. Your admins also have a sea of work to do and now another GA curveball takes attention off our core work and forces us to deal with Atlassian toil

This is another attempt to bleed Enterprise customers. If absolutely necessary to start charging for this functionality you would be much better served to align these new costs with a users Enterprise renewal than trying to throw it at them with 2 months notice in the middle of their deal.

Hi @Atul Setlur

I understand the community feedback might not be what you had expected or hoped for. Still I'd appreciate if you could kindly answer my question from above.

Thank you.

When creating a backup policy and selecting the apps to back up, is it possible to select only the assets? (Can I exclude JSM from the selection?)

Regarding the 30 day backup .
this page:
'https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/overview-of-atlassian-backups/' under 'Benefits of Data Backups' has:

"Regulatory compliance: Many industries have regulations requiring companies to maintain certain records for a specific period. Regular backups help meet these regulatory compliance requirements."

Is there any way to keep backups longer than 30 days if compliance needs require that? Can a backup be copied an saved elsewhere? or is the limit a hard 30 days?

I used to be a big fan of Atlassian Cloud Apps such as Jira and Confluence. This is fast changing. I hate Cloud solutions now and I will fight them when ever and where ever I can. Being at the mercy of Cloud providers is very bad.

Backup and Restore has to be available for a faire price. The current prices are just way above our budget.

@Atul Setlurthis documentation, which details what is and is not included in backups, it indicates that Jira Product Discovery spaces aren't included, but in your FAQ above, it indicates JPD is included. Which is correct?

Additionally, what is the timeframe for inclusion of Automation rules and JSM Operations data?
