Jira ‘Restore Defaults’ Removes Filter Columns Without Warning

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share something I experienced recently while working in Jira.
I had a saved filter with multiple columns configured based on my requirement. While trying to add new columns to my filter, I accidentally clicked on “Restore Defaults.
Immediately, all the columns were removed.
There was no warning or confirmation, and also no way to get back the previous setup.
I had to spend time again:
  •  Adding all columns manually
  • Trying to remember what I had configured earlier

It’s a small thing, but it does interrupt the flow, especially when we use filters regularly.
What I feel could help
It would be great if Atlassian could consider:
  •  Showing a small confirmation popup before resetting columns.
  •  Or an option to undo/restore the previous column setup.

Just sharing this based on my experience. Curious if others have faced the same.

I've always been afraid of that option, so I've never actually tried it. I'm honestly surprised there's no UI element to slow you down when you click it.

I am guessing that you mis-clicked on the discrete circular arrow icon?

I only notice it now as I wanted to understand what had happened.
I can see the convenience in having it placed there, but without any any warning, confirmation, or undo option, it's also quite dangerous and I can absolutely see how it could happen.

Now I wonder how many of our users have run into this, and just silently resented Jira without complaining to me...
