I wanted to share something I experienced recently while working in Jira.
I had a saved filter with multiple columns configured based on my requirement. While trying to add new columns to my filter, I accidentally clicked on “Restore Defaults.”
Immediately, all the columns were removed.
There was no warning or confirmation, and also no way to get back the previous setup.
I had to spend time again:
- Adding all columns manually
- Trying to remember what I had configured earlier
It’s a small thing, but it does interrupt the flow, especially when we use filters regularly.
What I feel could help
It would be great if Atlassian could consider:
- Showing a small confirmation popup before resetting columns.
- Or an option to undo/restore the previous column setup.
Just sharing this based on my experience. Curious if others have faced the same.
