Generally, the Program Objective values displayed on the Strategy Pyramid should match the number of Objectives shown on the linked screen.
However, depending on the PI selected in the Snapshot, the value shown on the Strategy Pyramid may sometimes be larger.

Why is this?
Alternatively, if you know the calculation logic for the values displayed on the Strategy Pyramid, please let me know.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Daisuke,

The discrepancy between the number of Program Objectives displayed on the Strategy Pyramid and the number of objectives shown on the linked screen is typically due to the calculation logic and filtering applied within Jira Align.

The Strategy Pyramid visualizes objectives across multiple levels, and its values might include additional or aggregated objectives that are tied to various work items or team configurations. This can sometimes result in the Pyramid displaying more objectives than the number shown in the linked snapshot for a particular Program Increment (PI).

The PI Snapshot filter you selected may display a subset of objectives tied specifically to that snapshot, while the Strategy Pyramid could be showing objectives that are related to broader work areas or cross-cutting objectives that are part of the program.

If you need further clarification on the calculation logic or configuration details, I recommend reviewing the data aggregation rules or consulting with your Jira Align administrator for more specific settings.

Hi Gunjan,

Thank you for your thoughtful response.
I think I understand a little better now. I'll take a closer look while referring to the link you sent.

For now, I wanted to express my gratitude.
