How can I add a photo to a Checklist?

I would like to add photos (NOT Videos) to my checklists. When I attempt to do so, there are two required fields. One is to upload the photo itself, the other is for a link.

What is the purpose of the link here? For a video it makes sense, for a photo, not so much.

@Joe Carpenter the picture is meant to be a still of the video / external link attached. There is no way that i am aware of to add a picture to a step without a video/external link attached to it.
