JIRA issue linking from FishEye - Can this be escaped for certain checkins so it is ignored?

Stuart MacKenzie
April 22, 2012

I am having a bit of an annoyance with the automatic issue linking from Fisheye to JIRA.

My project name is: CMS, when our automated build server does a branch or tag of the form:

[maven-release-plugin] copy for tag cms-1.26.0-build-12

our build number 'cms-1.26.0-build-xx' is parsed by Fisheye as linking to JIRA issue: 'CMS-1'

Is there anyway we can escape the checkin comment to have it ignored by Fisheye for checkins for which it was escaped?

Ideally, wouldn't it be more practical to have the parser NOT consider something a match unless there is a whitespace character after it?

As always, any advice or help is appreciated. Cheers - Stuart
