content of a custom Jira field is not showing in Confluence

Jira: Custom field (numberfield)

Jira: Filter to show epics in a specific project

Confluence: Macro "Jira Issue Filter" added to a Confluence page

Problem: the labels of the custom fields are shown, but NOT the content. Also, the ordering of the Jira filter is not applied (less important, I can live with that).

No idea why. Tried re-indexing, different ways of using the macro... nothing helps.

This is a know issue and I just checked and there is a workaround which is not ideal: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-35196
