Users do not have admin permissions for their own personal spaces

Hello,

I have several users experiencing similar problems to these scenarios:

However, these questions do not appear to have been solved so I am asking again here.

In short, our users, who are standard Confluence users but not system admins, created their own, Personal spaces (not Team spaces). Rather than receiving default Admin rights to edit permissions and add people, they are locked out of the permissions area entirely.

I noticed that while the system did add the creator individually as an admin; the section that typically has security groups added with permissions, is blank. It says no groups have been added. I am wondering if this is something we will have to do manually for these types of requests or if there is another solution? 

As an illustration, I have attached photos of what the personal space's permissions currently look like (The one that says "no groups currently have access"), and what our Team space permissions look like. I also attached a screenshot of the error the user is receiving. (Note: They do NOT get redirected to validate credentials; the page loops back to where they started).
