This issue is actually a bug and there are many things that can cause the error:
In the case from this thread, what was causing was nested bullets within a macro.
Turns out the issue was nested bullets within a macro - 2nd+ layered bullets aren't supported yet. In addition, there were also issues with certain strings of text that use symbols in JIRA issue titles that when nested in the macro through a JIRA macro, caused a section to freeze, therefore not properly show.
If your case is different, please let us know more details about what you are using on the page or ask your site administrator to create a ticket with support, so they can access your Confluence and check what may be causing the issue.
