Hi Tony,

Another solution you may like comes from Table Filter app. You can set several first rows and columns frozen both in page view and edit mode (in edit mode only rows freezing works). It has no limitations on table and page complexity and themes you use in your spaces, because it work in a different way. You can see how it works on the demo site.

Hi there, Tony.

From the test I have performed on my end, I can confirm on the following behavior:

Confluence Cloud

  • Edit Mode: No
  • Preview Mode: No
  • View Mode: Yes

Confluence Server (Latest 6.11.0):

  • Edit Mode: No
  • Preview Mode: No
  • View Mode: Yes

Mind you that there are some restrictions to this feature as mentioned in the Sticky table headers in view mode and possibly row numbers as well. This was shared by a user in the here.

The sticky table header for edit and preview mode are being tracked in the following tickets:

For now, can you please confirm if you are seeing otherwise on your end? If you are on Confluence Server, please let us know the version that you are are running on to see if your scenario relates to an older Confluence version - CONFSERVER-9267: Scrollable Tables with Fixed Header. Keep us posted.
