Hello,
I'm new to confluence. I'm using the new editor, and via both ways described just above, I manage to get to the menu helping me to link a jira issue to my confluence page. However, what I would like, is that when deciding to create a new jira issue at that point, I can directly choose to link that issue to an epic from confluence, without having to manually do it afterwards from Jira. How could I do that? I thought about editing the macro, but when i go to confluence settings > general settings, i'm not offered to access an editor of macros (although i saw that in online doc). Any help is welcome.
Thank you.
Hello Thibault,
Welcome to Atlassian Community and Confluence. It's nice to have you join us!
By the way, I've moved your question from Can't see the other macros option while editing ANY page since it's a not directly related.
To answer your question, you're supposed to be able to link to an Epic when creating a Jira issue via Confluence. See under Use Jira Applications and Confluence Together For software teams > Define your requirements.
However, it looks like that option is missing; there's been a bug reported for that below:
Until this is resolved, you can continue linking the Epic via Jira as a workaround.
I hope that clarifies for you why you're not able to do that at this time, but I hope to see this resolved in the future.
Take care, and have a pleasant rest of your week.
Shannon
