Knowledge Base Question

I am interested in using Confluence to create a company knowledge base. I want to create a knowledge base that uses a persistent navigation tree on the left, almost identical to what Confluence uses here in their own online documentation. Is the online documentation in that link based on a readily available Confluence template?

Confluence uses "Themes" to control this portion of the look and feel. The Theme that is used on Atlassian's Confluence is the "Documentation Theme" and it is included in the product. You'll get it right out of the box.
