Installing a language pack

Deleted user September 13, 2017

Hi,

I am trying to install a Dutch language pack for our Service Desk, and am trying to follow the instructions, but I get stuck on the part how to upload the plugin. We're on a cloud version of jira.Screen Shot 2017-09-13 at 15.44.12.png

I've followed the path here:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/installing-a-language-pack-214860198.html

Trying to add the Service Desk Cloud
https://translations.atlassian.com/dashboard/dashboard?lang=nl_BE#

I do not get an option to browse, so I've added the jar URL from the download. ( https://translations.atlassian.com/download/JIRA+Service+Desk+Cloud/1000.949.0/nl_BE/JIRA+Service+Desk+Cloud-1000.949.0-language-pack-nl_BE.jar )and it gives me a error that I can't figure out what the problem is. What am I missing?

The documentation you cited is actually for Confluence Server.  JIRA Cloud can't install 3rd party language packs at this time.  This noted in this document:  Atlassian Cloud Policies - Languages

The very bottom of that page explains this:

Cloud applications don't currently support the installation of language packs from Atlassian Translations.

There is an existing feature request to bring the Dutch language pack to JIRA Service Desk Cloud in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-1630

I would recommend voting on and watching that ticket for updates on this.
