How can I give access to an anonymous user with a specific domain to my confluence cloud instance?

Charitha Veeragandham March 27, 2019

We would like to let users inside our organization to access our confluence site anonymously. And we do not want to add these users to our confluence license mainly because they do not interact with the application much and only view the content occasionally.

We also do not want to provide anonymous access for anyone outside the organization.

Is there a way to limit confluence access for only users within our organizations?

For ex: Only users with @companyname.com email address can use confluence.

Thank you in advance. :)

Hello there!

Currently, when enabling Public Access, everyone will always be able to see your instance's data. You can check this information here:

Global Permissions Overview

Upon further inspection, I could find a similar thread where the customer found a type of workaround for this situation. You may want to take a look!

How to set anonymous access to Confluence in cloud without granting confluence license?

Hope this helps Charitha! Looking forward to your reply.
