Hi Steve,

I haven't personally seen this message before, but there are a few tips on how to get around it when it occurs in Jira. You might be able to use this information from a discussion to help in Confluence:

Otherwise, I would recommend you check your Confluence server logs for more details. 

If you still have issues, let us know

  1. your Confluence version
  2. JAVA version
  3. Database version
  4. What kind of server you'er running Confluence on
  5. How you're starting Confluence
  6. When this last worked, if you did any upgrades recently
  7. Any errors you found in the error log regarding this.
