Hi,
I am kind of new to Confiform and would like to know how (and if) it is possible to set value by Field Definition Rules for User Type fields.
I have a form for which there should be preset users added in specific fields, including User fields with 1 and User fields with 2 users to prepopulate.
I have tried to use "fieldname="lastname, firstname"" parameters as well as other combinations but haven't managed to get it to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi @Adamo G
You set a username (DC) or the account id (cloud), depending what type of Confluence you are using (DC or cloud)
Alex
Hi, thank you for the response!
EDIT: I managed to get it working on a single user type field, by only including the fieldname, without ".username" and without the quotes around the value.
I ran into another issue. When doing the same with a multi select user type field, only the usernames are displayed, like it doesn't properly recognize the usernames.

Yes, you always have a field name on the "left side", and the value, that you want to put on the "right side"

Hi, I have two field Product(multi-select text) and other Report Owner(user field).
If Product field is set to Cards or retail then I want to auto-populate Report Owner field with particular person username.

Where do you have/store the information which product has which owner?

In Confiform form, field name is Product and Report Owner. Product is multi-select field with option's Branded Cardds, Retail..etc. Also, Report Owner is user field.
On selection of Branded cards or Retail Report Owner should auto-populate with person email id or username(not current user).

What email it should populate and where when the field for selecting a product is a multi-select? Not sure I understand
Let's talk through the example
You select the "Branded Cards" and "Retail" in the multi-select field.
What should happen and where the information for "owners" (for each product) is stored?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Report Owner" is just the field name—it's a user-type field where the current user usually enters an employee ID to select an employee. However, if either "Branded Cards" or "Retail" is already selected, the field should auto-populate with a default user—for example, Drake.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
So, how ConfiForms should know which user to choose/set? (My initial question really). Do you want to hard code it?
