Cannot link file from shared drive to Confluence as URL

Hi,

 

Can you please let me know if it's possible to link a document froma shared drive to Confluence as a URL? I keep getting the error: Enter a valid URL.

Welcome to the Community! I think your question is related to this other post, where others are experiencing the same issue. There are a couple of workarounds shared in the post:

Just out of curiosity, did you try with different browsers?

Hi @Carlos Garcia Navarro 

I had read that post however the one workaround suggested was to copy-paste the path as a link in a browser which will then open/download the file of the Shared drive. But this is not quite what we are trying to do. We would like to click on the link and then the file to open.

The other workaround suggested in that post, is to use file://path which also doesn't open the file form the shared drive.

I have tried Edge and Chrome - same result.
