Hey Confluence community 👋
We’re exploring a new Confluence Cloud app focused specifically on fast, clean UML diagramming — designed for architects and dev teams who are tired of slow load times and clunky permissions.
Right now we’re validating demand, and we’d love your honest input 👇
Q: Would a faster UML plugin with per-diagram access control actually save your team time?
A) Yes- this would seriously help us
B) Maybe- It depends on features
C) No- we're fine with what we've got
💬 Please drop your vote as a comment (just A, B or C is fine!) – and feel free to share pain points you've had with diagramming tools like draw.io, PlantUML, or others.
This would massively help us build something that actually solves real problems.
Thanks in advance 🙏

Hi, Jared
Thanks for the answer! If I may ask- what tool/tools are you using currently?
Thanks!
Hi
Probably most users allready are happy with Draw.io or Gliffy but what from me have asked that is it possible to connect UML plan with Assets values? Like have UML from floor and with interactive value from Assets you can connect Employees with room and tabel location in room.

Greetings,
No.
We use LucidChart, and it'll be hard for you to beat them at their game.
I lead Enterprise Architecture at our company, and I've tried the Confluence tool, Visios, and Lucid Chart. Lucid's organization-sharing with live updates ... I just don't see how you're going to compete with that.
Which UML diagrams, however?
Most tools for deployment diagrams are terrible. IT might work if you focus on what diagrams. Class, sequence, etc. are easy. But good deployment diagrams might be worth another tool.
C: We are happy with what we have:
Just Add+ Embed Markdown, Diagrams, & Code in Confluence Git
It is light weight, a great value and creates diagrams without the hassle of too much manual manipulation, as I don't like focusing on the looks but rather on the content of the diagrams.
