G-drive vs Onedrive - why G-drive has a preview and onedrive not?

Hello making some changes on my confluence I checked that I can embed any files from g drive but is not possible for  One drive, I mean withot plugins.

Could you explain me why? I attach an exampl

It looks like the OneDrive macro only works in the legacy editor; I can't find any record of plans to updated.
