Sentry connection issue

I'm having trouble connecting Sentry cloud to our Compass account.

I followed the setup steps provided to install the app on Compass and set up the custom integration on the sentry side. This included adding the sentry project URL into the custom links section of the component.

 

I then attempted to send a test notification to Compass as well as to my email. I received the email, but never detected the event on Compass.

 

Is there any way to debug this or any common gotchas? Does the sentry project need to have exactly the same name as the component?

Hi @Oli ,

Is there any chance you could share how you've configured this integration (on the Compass side)?

I guess you could check how Create Alert Rules are set up within the integration you've established. If the incoming data does not meet any rule condition, no alert will be created 👀
This article could help: How alerts are created 

There should be no requirement for the Sentry project name to exactly match the Compass component name for alerts to be processed.

You could also double-check your alert notification preferences to ensure you're up to receive new notification alerts.

The issue is that Sentry doesn't show me anything at all or appear in the timeline, even when a test alert is sent as described in the documentation:

Thanks for sharing the additional info @Oli !

I'm not using Sentry myself, so I cannot say much, but from what I've gathered through official docs, that should pretty much be it.
The only additional information I've found is these troubleshooting steps. 👀

Official documentation also points to Atlassian Support as a support channel, as Atlassian develops this integration, so I guess you could reach out to them to see if they can help. Agents usually have additional access to internal resources that might assist in this case. 🤔
